La Fresque du Climat (it’s getting hot out there!)
Retour sur notre samedi de fin novembre dernier!
Léa et moi étions de sortie pour une activité peu banale: à l’atelier de la Fresque du Climat niché dans le 17ème arrondissement de Paris où notre animatrice Catherine, une vingtaine de participants et une fresque toute blanche nous attendaient.
Qu’est-ce qu’une Fresque du climat?
Pour ceux qui la découvrent comme nous, l’association Fondée en 2018 par Cédric Ringenbach a pour objectif de sensibiliser les citoyens au réchauffement climatique à travers un jeu collaboratif et la reconstitution d’une fresque recréant les mécanismes du changement climatique.
Image après image, et à l’aide de schémas elle trace avec clarté sa dégradation liée aux impacts impacts de l’activité humaine.
Nous l’avons retracée en petits groupes de 8 et pu l’anticiper pour les prochaines années : ce n’était pas vraiment une surprise de découvrir une réalité que nous avions déjà tous un peu en tête, mais ce n’était pas une grande fierté de constater sur le papier l’étendue des dégâts!
Pensez à un puzzle géant: mais en beaucoup moins fun, car on perd rapidement l’envie de le compléter, et encore moins de le terminer.
Mais on est bien obligés de regarder la situation en face après l’avoir dessinée pendant 3h.
Après un long débrief, des désaccords, et le coming out du participant – étonnamment le plus remonté – sur sa carrière dans le transport International est arrivé le temps du bilan.
Chacun s’accrochait toujours un peu à son confort et l’essentiel n’était le même pour personne: cesser de prendre l’avion, acheter en 2nde main, privilégier les circuits courts ou manger moins de viande..
Mais nous avions tous envie de faire plus d’efforts.

Back on our Saturday of last November!
Lea and I were out for an unusual activity : at the Fresque du Climat workshop located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris where our facilitator Catherine, about 20 participants and a white fresco were waiting for us.
What is a Fresque du Climat ?
For those who discover it like us, the association founded in 2018 by Cedric Ringenbach aims to raise awareness of global warming through a collaborative game and the reconstruction of a mural recreating the mechanisms of climate change.
Image after image, and with the help of diagrams, it traces with clarity its degradation linked to the impacts of human activity.
We retraced it in small groups of 8 and were able to anticipate it for the next few years: it was not really a surprise to discover a reality that we all already had a little in mind, but it was not a great pride to note on paper the extent of the damage!
Think of a giant puzzle: but much less fun, because you quickly lose the desire to complete it, and even less to finish it.
But we are forced to face the situation after having drawn it for 3 hours.
After a long debriefing, disagreements, and the coming out of the participant – surprisingly the most wounded – about his career in the International transport industry came the time of the assessment.
Everyone was still holding on to his or her own comfort zone and the main thing was not the same for everyone: stop flying, buy second hand, use short circuits or eat less meat.
But we all wanted to make more efforts.
