Girls Tech Power!
A great initiative that took place on July 5 & 6, 2021 at Emlyon Business School in Paris 12ème.
We had the pleasure to answer the invitation of Fanny Kingue for this first Bootcamp sponsored by Women@Dior & L’Unesco whose objective is to familiarize young girls with the world of Tech within the Makers’lab.
The program was founded in 2017 by the House of Christian Dior and delivered in partnership with Unesco following the observation of gender disparities in IT.
On the program: practical workshops, a friendly lunch and the intervention of women professionals from the sector who came to talk about their job in tech.
A studious AND friendly atmosphere for this successful launch organized by Amina CHELYAH, Laetitia COLONNA D’ISTRIA, Fanny KINGUÉ and Hazèle MORISON.
A nice meeting with Sylvie JOUANARD, founder of Teenlabs, who accompanies young people from all horizons on the Digital path!
A big congratulations to the team of young organizers for this event which we hope will germinate a lot of new vocations!
Zoom on the Bootcamp:
- A 2-day format with programming workshops, initiation to 3D printing processes for the realization of prototypes, and the intervention of professionals of the sector who came to exchange on their jobs;
- The project was elected and selected after having caught the attention of a jury composed of Maria Grazia Chiuri, Artistic Director of women’s collections for Maison Christian Dior Couture, Emmanuelle Favre, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Maison Christian Dior Couture, Mohammed Djelid, Deputy Director of UNESCO and Laetitia Roche-Grenet, Director of Innovation at LVMH ;
- The entire team also had the opportunity to present the project at the « Global e-conference Women@Dior » on March 31, 2021 at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
The story continues…!
The project was presented at the LVMH Apartment of Viva Technology this year where the team presented its development axes in front of an audience of tech professionals, and we learn with pleasure that the next edition is in preparation for the fall 2022 with new workshops.
We can’t wait!
